Workshop overview:

Astrotourism continues to be recognized as one of the fastest-growing trends in the travel industry, with no signs of slowing down. At DarkSky, we believe these experiences can inspire lifelong advocates for the night—when they are developed responsibly. Whether you're new to astrotourism or looking to expand an existing program, this panel will explore how communities, businesses, and destinations can create meaningful nighttime experiences that benefit local economies while protecting the night.

Together, the panel will explore the many facets of this growing field, including dark sky tourism, astrotourism, and noctourism, and discuss how these opportunities can be implemented at both the local and regional levels. The session will also introduce an impact report and toolkit that makes the case for responsible astrotourism and highlights practical guidance for creating high-quality visitor experiences.
