Workshop overview:
How do you introduce the importance of the night to new audiences?
As light pollution grows, new threats emerge, and awareness builds around the need to protect dark skies, filmmakers are finding new ways to bring stories of the night to the screen and audiences around the world.
This year, our virtual conference platform is showcasing several films through a special Dark Sky Film Series, celebrating the night, exploring the challenges it faces, and sharing stories of people working to protect it.
Join us for a conversation with some of the filmmakers behind these projects as we explore their creative vision, what it took to bring their stories to life, and the role film can play in growing the movement to protect the night. We’ll also hear from filmmakers developing new projects and get an early look at the stories they’re preparing to tell.
In the meantime, explore the films featured in our Dark Sky Film Series, including special advance access to Saving the Night Caller, available to conference attendees ahead of the workshop.
